Fabulous day out to the Shuttleworth Collection, and Scale Model Day at OLD WARDEN AERODROME. Bedfordshire.

Date; Sunday 25th JULY 2010,

Coach Pickup at Whyteleaffe Railway Station CAR PARK at 8 am, return approx 7 pm. At time of writing, there is no charge for Sunday parking; There are presently some roadworks at the station roundabout! There is a diversion in operation to get into the Station car park, so allow an extra 10minutes travelling to get there. The Coach will be nearby, but maybe not in the Station Car Park, but on the main road. Unless, of course, the roadworks have finished, then everything back to normal!

TICKET COST, £20 per person, no concessions as this is a subsidised price. The Coach can carry 52 passengers in comfort. If the ticket take-up is low, we may reserve the right to downsize the coach for reasons of economy.

INCLUDES; Entry to Airfield, Shuttleworth collection (provided available), The fabulous Gardens, Restaurant and Gift Shop,
Model Flying display of fabulous Scale model Aeroplanes for most of the day, and not forgetting numerous TRADE STANDS, and approx. 25 bring and buy tables (weather permitting).

TICKETS will be on sale from 1st. April until Sunday 11th July 2010.( Unless they sell out before ).

It is possible to take a model to fly, but it will have to transported in the Baggage compartment at your own risk. You would need to be BMFA "B" Certificate pilot to fly at Old Warden Scale Day as the public are present. We may not be able to transport a large model, if the coach has to be downsized, check with Gary before you come!!

To wet your appetite for Old Warden, please look in the Gallery section. Here you will find some pictures that were taken last year. Tickets will be available soon, if you want to come, I reccommend that bookings are made early. There is bound to be more interest for this trip this year.

Just to say that if anyone does try to ring me then please leave a message and your phone no. as if any numbers come up as private or witheld no. I do not answer them as its normally someone trying to sell me 1000 drill bits, the best money can buy for £9.99, :lol:
