Honey Bee King 2

Postby gofer » Tue Aug 28, 2007 11:12 pm

HI All and good to know Croydon has a model flying club! I've started training on a honey bee fp and though I've found it relatively easy to use and fly, it is very hard flying it outside in even the slightest breeze!!! So most of my training is done indoors learning the controls.

I thinking of now getting a honey bee King 2 because it's within my budget :D and spares seem to be easy to come by and third and most important I believe it handles in light breezes or wind outside better. Can anyone let me know how it handles out doors in comparison to the honey bee fp :?!?

Cheers

The problem with small helis is that they don't handle outside as good as a larger heli. The route I advise people to go into the rotary discipline is
1.Phoenix Simulator
2.Contra rotating heli are good to get used to the controls as they are very stable)
3. ................well it depends where you want to go, if you want to progress into inverted 3D style flying or general sport aerobatics then you want a 50 size heli or maybe a scale is your thing like an Airwolf????
Just HANGING around!
