Christmas Fun Fly - 16th Dec 2007
Sunday the 16th December saw the inaugural Croydon Airport Model Flying Club Christmas Fun Fly, organised by CAMFC's own Joe.The event attracted visitors from Far and Wide with a load of the Sevenoaks Club, Caterham Club and the 3drc guys attending.
The day could best be described as organised chaos with the main events being pop the balloon (made all the more difficult as the wind just kept the balloons on the floor!), limbo and a dog fight with foamies.
In between events there was lots of great flying from all the guys with a big turn out of larger scale machines both Petrol and Electric powered as well as a whole bunch of Foamies and nitro club flyers. The BBQ went down well and was the focus point for a lot of chat and banter.
Reading the feedback on the various forums, I think everyone had a great day and we are hoping to make this a regular fixture in the CAMFC calender, watch the Events page for details.
